Ongoing | Ranchi and other locations

AAM undertakes plantation drives at different locations with the aim of creating greener spaces and encouraging greater participation in environmental action. Our plantation activities have included initiatives at Rajguru Park, Harmu, Pahari Mandir, Ranchi, and other locations. For us, plantation is not only about putting a plant in the ground. 02. Run for Environment

9 August 2026 | Jonha, Ranchi

Jonha is rich in flora and fauna and is known for its natural surroundings. However, increasing industrial activities in the region are putting pressure on its environment. With the aim of bringing greater awareness to these concerns, AAM organised Run for Environment in Jonha. Held on Vishwa Adivasi Diwas, the 5 km marathon brought together more than 300 local youth and participants. The initiative aimed to turn environmental awareness into participation and encourage young people to take greater responsibility for protecting their natural surroundings.

Along with the marathon, plants were distributed to all participants, and the programme included awareness speeches and cash prizes. These activities helped reinforce the message that environmental protection is not only a matter of discussion, but also of individual and collective participation.

The event was an effort to bring environmental concerns closer to the community and encourage young people to become active participants in protecting Jonha's natural environment.

03. Youth Voice for Environment

5 June 2026 | Doordarshan Jharkhand

On World Environment Day, AAM Founder Vedant Kaustav participated in the special World Environment Day episode of Samprati on DD Jharkhand, alongside Shri Sanjeev Kumar, PCCF & HoFF, Jharkhand.

The discussion focused on environmental protection, climate change and the role of awareness and public participation in addressing environmental challenges. The interaction also provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of involving young people in conversations and actions related to the environment.

For AAM, creating awareness is an important first step towards meaningful change. Platforms like Samprati help bring these conversations to a wider audience and encourage greater public engagement with environmental issues.

04. Standing Up for Our Trees

4 June 2026 | Harmu Chowk, Ranchi

The cutting of many old trees at Harmu Chowk in the name of development raised concerns about the loss of urban green spaces and the environmental cost of development.

In response, AAM Founder Vedant Kaustav organised a peaceful public protest at Harmu Chowk. A specially prepared portrait depicting a man climbing a ladder made from cut trees, with the earth burning beneath him, was used to convey a simple message: development should not come at the cost of our environment.

Vedant stood at Harmu Chowk for the day, drawing public and media attention to the issue and sharing his views on the importance of protecting trees and urban green spaces.

The initiative received coverage from local news channels, with media personnel covering the protest and recording Vedant's views. The action was an effort to bring the issue of tree loss into public discussion and remind people that environmental protection must remain part of the conversation whenever development takes place.
