Taking the First Step Together
“I have always believed that if we want our surroundings to change, we have to be willing to take the first step ourselves.”
Being a young person in Jharkhand, I have often felt that we have a much greater role to play in shaping the society we live in. We are full of ideas, energy and ambition, but I believe our generation also has a responsibility to use these strengths for something larger than ourselves.
For me, leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about having the courage to begin, the humility to listen and the willingness to bring others along.
I want to see more young people step forward, speak up about the issues they care about and take responsibility for the communities and environment around them. Even a small initiative can start a larger conversation, and a larger conversation can eventually lead to change.
I also believe that no individual can create lasting change alone. The strongest movements are built when people from different backgrounds, with different skills and ideas, come together for a common purpose.
That is the spirit I hope to carry forward through AAM.
We may be young, but we should never think that our contribution has to wait for tomorrow.
The future is being shaped today, and we all have a part to play in it.
