AAM organised the national-level conference “Environmental Challenges & Insights in Jharkhand” with the aim of creating a meaningful platform for discussion on environmental challenges and exploring a roadmap towards a better Jharkhand and a better world.
The conference brought together people from different fields because environmental challenges require collective thinking and participation. More than 400 people attended the programme, including public representatives, environmentalists, spiritual leaders, academicians, students, professionals and representatives from the corporate sector.
The distinguished guests included Shri Satish Chandra Dubey, Hon’ble Minister of State for Coal & Mines, Government of India; Shri Rajendra Singh, Waterman of India; Swami Bhaveshananda Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Morabadi, Ranchi; and Vice-Chancellors and academic leaders from institutions including Ranchi University, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University and Jharkhand State Open University.
The conference also featured Shri P. K. Dixit, Chairman, International Council of Consultants, Jharkhand, Niranjan Dev Bhardwaj, international TEDx speaker and environmentalist, along with other distinguished speakers and guests.
An important part of the programme was the participation of students from different colleges, who were invited to present their views and perspectives on environmental issues. Representatives from the corporate sector also shared their thoughts, creating a platform where different generations, professions and sectors could contribute to the conversation. The conference was not intended to be limited to speeches. It was envisioned as a space for meaningful dialogue, exchange of ideas and thinking about practical directions for a better environmental future.
The occasion also marked the publication of an AAM souvenir featuring articles and perspectives on environmental issues, documenting ideas and viewpoints connected with the themes of the conference. With its diverse participation, distinguished speakers and focus on dialogue, the conference marked an important step in AAM’s efforts to bring environmental concerns into wider public discussion.
