Large-scale plantation drives across Jharkhand to restore green cover and combat deforestation.
Abua Adhikar Manch launched the Green Jharkhand initiative with a vision to restore the state's depleted forest cover through community-led plantation drives. Working alongside local villages, schools, and youth groups, we have planted thousands of native saplings across degraded landscapes, school campuses, riverbanks, and community commons. Each plantation drive involves active participation from community members who not only plant but also adopt and nurture the saplings, ensuring long-term survival and growth. This initiative aims to combat rising temperatures, prevent soil erosion, and restore the ecological balance that tribal communities have depended on for generations.
